When booking a trip abroad, an important thing to consider is transport. If your hotel is in Puerto Banus, you are unlikely to need any form of transport. Within a short walking distance are an assortment of bars, restaurants, cafés and shops at your convenience, even McDonalds and Burger King are just around the corner.
Those wanting to explore beyond the confines of their hotel, may wish to venture to a nearby town. During your holiday you are highly likely to visit Marbella, only a short bus ride away. Tourists love to admire the cobbled Spanish streets and boutiques within the ‘Old Town’.
Malaga Airport
Puerto Banus is around 45 minutes to 1 hour away from Malaga airport. There is a direct, reliable bus service available from Marbella Bus station, costing €3.93.

Buses
A bus journey from Puerto Banus to Marbella will take around 15 minutes. Bear in mind that during summer, traveling to and from the Port may take a lot longer especially at night. Bus fares are considerably cheaper than in the UK. The standard fare is €1.15.

Taxis
Taxi’s on the Costa del Sol are fairly reasonably priced. It is a good idea to confirm the price of the journey first to prevent drivers from taking advantage of trusting tourists. Local journeys tend to cost around €8, but each taxi should have a folder of the official prices.
Finding a Taxi
There are 4 main points around Puerto Banus to get a taxi; After a night out stumble upon the most convenient taxi rank, opposite the arch way - as you exit the Port. The second is just by Glam nightclub, which is a minute or 2 walking distance. Plenty of Taxi’s can be found in the Dreamers nightclub car park. Although taxi’s are easy to find, expect a long queue during the summer nights.
There are various other places to catch a taxi, right outside El Corte Ingles shopping centre for example. Drivers also hover near the Cristamar Shopping Centre and outside well known hotels such as the Andalucía Plaza Hotel.
