Tarifa , west of Gibraltar, is one of Europe´s top windsurfing spots, with strong breezes year- round and long sandy beaches. The winds can also be good at nearby Barbate and Los Caños de Meca and you can rent or buy equipment and have tuition in all three places. Conditions are less suitable along the Mediterranean coasts but some Costa del Sol beaches and La Herradura can be OK.
