Paragliding involves taking a running jump off a hill top with a rectangular parachute behind you, then staying aloft with the aid of thermal winds. Andalucia´s paragliding capital is Valle de Abdalajis, east of el Chorro. The air currents are also good around La Herradura, on the Granada coast.
