Puerto Banus is situated in the heart of Andalucia. Which has for some time provided one of the worlds best and most popular Golfing playgrounds. Attracting golfers from all over the globe. Andalucia spells Golf from sunrise to sunset all year round. There are approximately 51, 18 Hole Championship Golf Courses in the region.
TIP. Remember you will need a Handicap certificate to play most courses. You will also need to book Tee times well in advance between Jan-May & Sep-Nov.
Golf Handicaps Certificates: Be sure to bring a handicap certificate from your home pro/club as some courses require them. Distances are measured in meters so add about 15 percent to get a sense of yardage.
Golf Attire: Traditional golf attire is acceptable.
Golf Carts and Caddies: Electric carts, called buggies, are not often used in Spain. Pullcarts, called a trolley, and buggies, when available, can be rented. However, certain courses, such as Montemayor which follows valleys and climbs mountains, require them. In this case, the buggie is included in the greens fee charge.
