Student, Teacher & Youth Cards
With these cards you can get worthwhile discounts on travel, and reduced prices at some museums, sights and entertainments.
The (ISIC) International Student Identity Card, for full-time students, and the (ITIC) International Teacher Identity Card, for full-time teachers and professors, are issued by student-travel-related organisations.
Anyone under 26 can get a GO25 card or a Euro26 card. These will give similar discounts to the ISIC and are issued by most of the same organisations. The Euro26 card is known as the Carnet Joven in Spain. Discounts on offer with the Euro26 card in Spain include 20% to 25% off most 2nd-class train fares, discounts at some youth hostels, including 10% off lodging and meals in Andalucia`s Inturjoven hostels, and discounts at some museums.
It is always a wise precaution to take photocopies of all important documents before travelling. Leave one set at home with a friend or relative and keep another set with you, sperate from the originals.

Booking is advisable if travelling at weekends and bank holidays. Bookings can be made at main stations or travel agents. You can purchase online through RENFE's website https://w1.renfe.es/vbi/htvbiu00.html Tickets are reasonably priced but prices vary depending on the class (Club, Preferente, Turista) of service and the peak hour times (Punta, Plano, Valle).
