Casa Loca – The family Entertainment Centre *New*



For those of you that haven’t managed to translate the name of this establishment it simply means Crazy House.

The great new entertainment centre is a place where mums assemble whilst the kids occupy themselves in the various play areas. There is plenty to keep them entertained including 200sq metres of adventure soft play, mini tenpin bowling, arcade rides, pool tables and air hockey.

Casa Loca provides the perfect day out costing only €5 for unlimited play! Another particular highlight is the Sunday Carvery in Rosita’s Diner and modern bar area.

On top of this Casa Loca also hosts many special monthly events with children’s entertainers and dance performances even Santa makes an appearance in his grotto from 26th of November until Christmas Eve.

Tivoli World



A visit to the Costa del Sol wouldn’t be complete without a trip to Tivoli World, after all it is the largest amusement park on the coast.

There are over 40 different rides and attractions with bars and restaurants onsite. If you’re lucky you might catch one of the performances or shows in one of 3 different squares e.g. the Western Square, Andalucian or Tivolilandia.

Selwo Adventure Park aims to bring together animals, nature and adventure. Selwo Marina – Benalmádena



Take an expedition to the South American themed Selwo Marina set in the grounds of nearly 2 hectares.

Resembling marine life of the South American continent, the marina is designed so that visitors discover little by little the ecosystems of the animal species that live there. There are four main zones in which the decoration, gardening and architecture recreate the environment of that region.

Telecabina Benalmádena



Take the kids for a ride on the Cable karts with arguably the best views of the coast, it is said that on a clear day you can see as far as Gibraltar and even the coast of Morocco.

Each cabin fits 4 people and lasts approximately 15 minutes. Stop off at the top of Mount Calamorro, one of the highest points in the province of Malaga and really take advantage of the view, best to stay put on the ground if you are scared of heights.

With its convenient location just five minutes walk from both the bus and train station there is no excuse not to pay a visit to the Fuengirola Zoo.

Contrary to traditional zoos, the animals here are at home in the recreation of a tropical forest with no cages or bars insight. It is a revolutionary zoo that allows animals to behave as they would in their own habitat.

The Fuengirola Zoo is growing continuously. It is also involved in 35 European endangered species breeding programmes and various projects to save endangered forest zones.

The zoo is split into 3 different sections: Madagascar: Enter the tropical forest of Madagascar with lemurs and other strange creatures and admire the eye-catching ancient baobab tree.
South East Asia: Re-creations of ancient civilisation ruins and temples including a monsoon forest with thick bamboo groves where tigers stalk
Equatorial Africa: Everything from crocodiles and flamingos to giant land snails not to mention hippos, meerkats and chimps.

On the whole, it is far from your typical Zoo. There are lot’s of crazy creatures from fiddler crabs to mudskippers. None the wiser? Round up the bear clubs and make your way down to Fuengirola Zoo for an exciting expedition!

Don’t miss the night time opening hours during summer to discover what really goes on when it gets dark - with the help of a complicated lighting system creating artificial moonlight. ANCRAA Giant Donkeys




If you’re stuck for ideas for a Sunday stroll why not try a little something different and pay a visit to ANCRAA – (the National Association of Breeders of the Andaluz Donkey) and marvel at the beautiful donkeys in danger of becoming extinct.

The association was formed – and continues to run by Volunteers on a private finca - with the hope of saving and increasing this endangered species. Visitors are openly welcomed to the breeding sanctuary to see their work in progress. Any donations large or small are greatly valued which can be done via their website or in person.

Lobo park



A unique Wolf Park offering guided tours every hour to see the different breeds of wolves in their natural habitat as well as the chance to get up close and personal with all sorts of animals in the Petting Zoo.

Why not take the experience one stage further and explore Lobo Park on horse back! There is also the option of taking shorter rides, for example 15 minute will you only €5.

Aqua Park Mijas



Aqua Park is the smaller but more convenient of the two water parks. There are plenty of attractions to keep the kids entertained and prime spots for mums to catch some rays.

As if this wasn’t enough, there are also daily music and dance shows during the summer and free water aerobics. Not to mention the Daily Parrot Show which sadly you’ll just have to wait until the summer to experience.

Funny Beach



In case you haven’t quite noticed the huge Coca Cola can as you drive up and down the coast, this - maybe unintentionally – acts as a trademark for Funny Beach.

Despite its name, Funny Beach is far more than a beach – and not actually that funny. Nevertheless it is jam-packed with fun for the whole family. From go-karts and bumper boats to indoor video games and pool tables it is the ideal day out if ever there was one.

Needless to say it is best enjoyed when the weather is at its most delightful.

For those that fancy themselves as a bit of a Michael Schmacher, Karting Club caters for the whole family. There is one circuit designed for the adults and children and a special mini circuit for the little ones with two seaters and mini bikes.

On a sunny day you are likely to find Mums gathering happily at the over looking terrace bar- watching safely from the sidelines. A fun day out, however note that there is not an entrance fee and you will have to pay per race, which take place around every 15 minutes.
