The Socialist deputy and number two on the electoral list for Congress, Miguel ángel Heredia, spoke recently about the current PSOE legislature with respect to Malaga and the work carried out over the past four years by the PSOE Minister for Public Works, Magdalena álvarez. All the real work done to improve the Western Costa del Sol highway, at a cost of more than 200 million euros, he said, was done by the PSOE government. Of the last Partido Popular government, he added: “In their eight years of government, they did not spend a single euro on this road, demonstrating that the right-wing government do not worry at all about such matters.” He also mentioned the decision to build the long-awaited underground tunnel through San Pedro, at a cost that has risen from 33 to 60 million euros.
