France has extradited to Spain the ETA terrorist who is thought to have placed the car bombs in Marbella, Fuengirola and Mijas in 2002.

Andoni Eraso Otegui also placed the car bomb which went off at the Civil Guard barracks at Santa Pola in Alicante.

He faces charges here in the National Court and is also charged with the murder of the UPN councillor, José Javier Múgica in 2001. He was arrested by French police close to the Spanish border in September 2002 where he was sharing the house with another alleged ETA terrorist, Óscar Celarain Ortiz.
