Born in Aberdeen, Scotland, Irene studied art at Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen and Slade School in London. Irene paints in oils usually on canvas and her themes range from landscapes, beach scenes and still lifes to some portraits on commission.

Christina Roels - Colours of Spain

Christina, originally from Belgium, has been living in Torrox for two years. In this exhibition Christina captures her experiences and impressions of life in Spain in an impressive exhibition of photographs. The artist will be on hand every Tuesday to talk to visitors and explain her work.

The Frigiliana Culture Centre offers an exhibition of three British artists, who live in the Frigiliana area. This is Elaine’s third exhibition and Rosie & Gill’s first. They are inspired by their life in Andalucía.

Chamber Orchestra - Cologne New Philharmonic

The Four Seasons - The Berlin Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra

Kokoschka, Klimt & Schiele - James Malpas MA Cantab Phil London

By leaving the academic respectability of Vienna’s art establishment in 1898, Klimt and his young followers, Egon Schiele and Oskar Kokoschka, amongst others, initiated an efflorescence of art noveau-based and post-impressionist vividness in colour few could have predicted. Eighty years on their work is amongst the most easily recognisable and popular of the century. How did this happen? What were its aims? Why did it end so swiftly? This lecture provides answers and richly-coloured illustrations.
