PLAZA BEACH - PUERTO BANUS

Location and Characteristics: It is located in Nueva Andalucía, east of "José Banús" Port. It has a longitude of 1.000 m. and an average width of 50 ms. It is composed of the typical golden fine sand of the Mediterranean area where it is located. Use: It is a tourist beach with a high level of occupation. Water sports such as windsurf, jet skis, pedalos, etc. are practised. Among its facilities we can find four beach bars with sunbeds and a nice promenade. Cleanliness and Hygiene: The condition of the water is good, obtaining since 1992 the Blue Flag award. The service of municipal cleaning carries out a daily maintenance of the beach in summer as well as in winter, manually and mechanically. Equipment and Services: This beach has public showers and toilets, rubbish bins, watch towers, life guards and first aid, as well as vigilance of beaches during the summer.
