Founded in 2004, King's College San Pedro de Alcántara is based on 35 year's experience derived from its sister school, King's College Madrid . King's College San Pedro de Alcántara has been inspected by representatives of the British Council and authorisation has been granted.
The building is purpose built and has excellent facilities including: fully equipped science laboratories, 3 ICT rooms, a library, music room, a dinning room, an Astroturf sportspitch, 2 outdoor basket ball courts and a large multipurpose hall. Classrooms are bright and spacious and the grounds are well planted.
The campus occupies its own parcel of land of 11,000m 2 , the school issituated close to the N340 and some five hundred metres from the sea, Marbella is approximately 15 minutes drive away. Optional bus routes run along the coast from Fuengirola to Estepona. There is doctor onsite all day and the school works closely with special needs teachers from outside.
A 3 course midday meal is prepared daily in the school's kitchen that is nutritionally balanced and offers a vegetarian option every day. Extra-curricular activities include: Ballet, piano, violin and many different sports. Students are encouraged to join these activities to broaden their experience and help theirdevelopment in becoming well rounded individuals. There are also many events during the school year where interaction with the local community and charity work are made priorities.
Admission varies according to year of entry but great emphasis is placed on previous school reports, personal interviews and where appropriate entrance exams in English and maths. |
